I think he is talking about strobe , the frequency ( how man times ) it strobes ?

I have a feeling this is mostly a robot translation, and that is, as usual a crappy translation.

I'm just guessing here, but i think he's Russian? Perhaps someone who can help him, at least to get a proper translation out. I cant even make sense of the formula he posted...

(Which however might be more a lack of experience with strobes on my part, then anything else. Does anyone recognize the formula?)

Changing the mesh size of the magnalium will change the strobe rate, or frequency. The bigger the flakes, the slower the strobe.

Changing the CuO amount will also affect the strobe rate. I am not familiar with that particular formula so I cannot say what it's rate may be. Shimizu's AP strobes are the only ones I have commonly seen a frequency published for.

here's another formula for green and red strobes

 

Barium (green strobe) or strontium nitrate (red strobe) 54

 

Sulfur 18

 

Magnalium 60-mesh 12

 

Parlon 10

 

Antimony trisulfide chinese needle or dark pyro 6

 

wet with acetone and make cut stars
