JMAPscience
OK, not computer hackers but people. I have been using this forum for 2 years and I have started going to a hacker space. If you don't know what a hacker space is then I hope you will look into it. It is basically a ware house where any one in the community can work on any project. The hacker space has all the tools and you just go there work on your projects and talk to people. Its a lot of fun!So if you live in the west palm beach area come take a look. Its open Tuesday-Saturday 12-6.https://hacklabnobo.wordpress.com/3491 High Ridge RdBoynton Beach, FL 33426See you there!
dagabu
We have The Hack Factory here, its $55 a month and pretty limited. We have a makerspace in an abandoned building close by for welding and noisy stuff, casting, forging, like that. Good luck on your Hacklab, please share your projects here! Shunt
Thanks for the post, I have never heard of this before. The first thing that comes to mind however, is what happens if there is an accident or injury. I personally would never sue anyone who was generous enough to let me rent space that cheap, not that I need to.
mikeee
You would need to sign a waiver when joining a group like that.
pyralex
You would need to sign a waiver when joining a group like that.so if they throw FP in your face and light a match, you cant even sue the person?
taiwanluthiers
I found one in Austin, but at 60 dollars a month, and being fairly far from where I live (I don't have a car) really makes it unattractive. Not to mention the tools they got aren't even that great, I'm better off putting my tools in my apartment.
