Yeah i agree ITCHI the new one casino royale really put me back on to Bond again, anyway what do you think about the new Bond. Daniel Craige is it?

Has any one seen prestige its quite new its about the most amazing magic trick ever and how people who try to copy it have a really fucked up time and also birdies that have magic done on them get pretty fucked up.

Rogue that film seems pretty funny.

Watched 'This is England' over the weekend. Y'all should try downloading a copy - it's well worth a watch.

Shane Meadows' other films are also damn good, particularly 'A room for Romeo Brass' and 'Dead mans shoes'

Trailer here:

Well one of my personal favorites was Constantine...

amazing movie indeed. The entire idea of a man who banishes halfbreeds into hell and so on.

Special effects were gorgeous as well, like the wings on Gabriel and hell...

Another one of my favorites is Borat :P

How can you not love Sacha after this

well to be honest Hebrew speaking viewers of Borat have an advatage...

Most of the times, Borat speaks Hebrew

(And yet he makes fun of jewish people, Gotte love that irony!)

Most of the dirty things he sais is in hebrew, So you can imagine me and my friends suprise when we actually realised its hebrew. And its a lot funnier like that too...

The truman show (Only Jim Carrey movie I don't dispise)

What have you never seen The Mask, kinda cheezy but a classic none the less.

The Natural, its like this baseball movie its pretty good.

Music and Lyrics, that was good for a chick flick.

Spiderman, the last two ah they sucked.

I think most of the good movies are not made in Hollywood. Talking comedy I would point out Fat pizza for instance.

I've seen platoon, the reason I like We Were Soldiers is because it really happened on Nov. 14-16 1965, And the guy gets hit face burned off with Willy Peter :D

That implies that platoon was a fake film. wrong. Oliver Stone served time over there and he wrote it as an autobiographical story, yes, the names have been changed but each of the events in the film did happen.

Jason - I agree!

Leon was an AMAZING movie!

I just love Jean Reano (did I spell it correctly?)

He is one of the most talented actors I have ever seen.

Beside, I get to see Mathilda from time to time, She lives in my town, Not so far away from me, Nathali Furmann, Lovely girl.

Heat

Fight Club

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Hero

Snatch

Matrix

Monty Python's the Holy Grail

I could go on...

I'd add to this excellent list:

True Romance

The Outlaw Josey Wales

Battle Royale

Clerks

Dr. Strangelove

Quiet Man

Platoon

Breakfast Club

Animal House

Blade Runner

First Blood

High Fidelity

Conan The Barbarian

The Outsiders

Saving Private Ryan

Interestingly, right now in Chicago the guys who killed Joe Pesci's character and his brother in the movie Casino are on trial for the real life murders and story the movie is based on. They are also on trial for murdering the guy who buried them in the cornfield for botching it up.

Life immatates art, yet again. Remember the Actor Alex Rocco, the guy who played Moe Greene in The Godfather, who got shot in the face? His real name is Alex Pettricone. He was originally from Boston, and was implicated in a real-life gangland hit in Boston in 1961. The cops couldn't prove it, and he was never formally charged, but he soon after changed his name and moved to Hollywood where he made a name for himself playing gansters. Coincidence.....?

Got to love comedy...

Ghostbusters

Airplane

Blazing Saddles

Spaceballs

Monty Python's Holy Grail

Wrongfully accused

Mafia

Police Acadamy

Stripes

Hot Shots

Weekend at Bernies

Faris Bueler's Day off

A ton more that I can't think of

Then there are a few good non-comedic movies

The ORIGINAL star wars trilogy. Not only do I mean IV V and VI, but I also mean before they decided to do a little editing in order to "make it flow" with the new movies. I agree with the south park episode that argues that edited re-releases of our favorite movies are wrong!!!

Some of the Bond movies were also quite entertaining. My favorites were probably Golfinger and A view to a kill. I thought Goldfinger was Connery at his best, and "A view to a kill" had Christopher Walkens and Tanya Roberts.

Then there are matial arts movies...which are in a class of their own.

Can't help but love Jackie Chan's stuff.

"Twin Dragons" was probably the most entertaining movie I've ever seen, period! Rumble in the bronx and police story were also good. For reasons of martial arts appreciation, Legend of the Drunken master was amazing. But of course, outside of the fighting scenes I remember it being pretty boring.

This is bumping an old thread, but TCM is currently showing "Captain Blood". For those of you who aren't familiar with it, it's a black-and-white pirate picture made in 1935 starring Erroll Flynn, Olivia Dehaviland, Guy Kibbee and Basil Rathbone. Yeah, I know...."who?"....

If you like the Johnny Depp-Jack Sparrow , "Pirates of the Carribean" films of today, take a look at the original film of the genre; you might be surprised.

Now I'm surprised no one has said STARSHIP TROOPER. The first one. Movie was intense.

Wanted was also good and was completely fake though.

Classic. My fave is "The Great Escape", followed too close by "The Guns of Naverone" Oh and "Bullitt" of course.
