  2. For small shells I shoot I have been having very good luck with a mix of my homade 20/60 mesh and rice hull powder seems to do exactly what you are speaking of for me. I'm changing out the 20/60M for 20/40 next to test the difference but I notice the rice hulls are very fast also. I cannot hear the difference very much but shells seem to go a lot higher with the rice hulls than without. I guess some more scientific testing is in order with an a stopwatch and some dummy loads.

  7. Hi Ventsi, nice test. There are a few pyrotechnic components that I like to hoard, because I wonder about future availability, and fuse is one of them. I've bought a lot of the Chinese fuse from cannonfuse, and I've always been happy with it. I think that the cheaper, thinner fuses are far more prone to moisture than the heavier viscos. How do you store your fuse? The method I finally arrived at was to use giant freezer ziploc bags, carefully labeled, for the various fuse types, and these all go into a big surplus ammo can with a dessicant pack. They stay nice and fresh... you get that whiff of clean NC/pyro goodness when you pop the lid. Thanks for the excellent info.
