Not quite a zipper as it wasn't fused that quick. But I did start it out slow and sped it up as it went along. All in all I'm real happy with it.

Thanks guys. Cakes can be daunting. They are a lot of work for a short display. But they are fun. The red was called "Buell Red"

Not bad for at all, I am sure you will get better timing/speed as you keep buiding more of these cakes, good job.

Great cake, I'd buy that if it was on sale here. I like the increasing pace as it burns. UK cakes seem to be slow with 30 seconds getting you 15 - 25 tubes so I like the faster cakes even just the pearls.

Thanks guys.

PyroAce. No titanium in them. I believe the tail you are seeing is the prime layer burning off.

The red is Buell red, the purple is Veline Magenta. I think the green and yellow were go getter formulas.

The other possibility is that it's parlon or red gum. I've always noticed a slight tail like that if I didn't screen the compositions through a fine enough screen. This seems to remove some debris and granular material that leaves a slight tail. 60 mesh usually worked for me. The unwanted parlon tail shows up if the stars were bound with acetone instead of water generally as well.

Mumbles. It's the Spanish Monocapa prime. The prime does contain Red Gum, but also contains 12% MgAl. Heck, it could even be the black Iron oxide in the prime eh?

I was speaking about the parlon and red gum in the stars themselves. The tail goes on longer than I'd expect to be coming from prime, but anything is possible.

Mumbles, believe it is caused by the monocapa prime. I noticed a tail when using a thick layer, probably MgAl caused.
