Are there Ariel competitions held anywhere near Oregon?

I would like to attend as an observer for now if there are.

Not sure if there is a sanctioned "competition" held in Oregon, but September 22-24 in Hawthorne NV WPA is having an meet. You should check it out, you can build and shoot your own, and pre order Class B product from one of the vendors.

I know that I would love to find a group of safe and sane persons in the southern Oregon area just to compare notes with. I have found the laws are tight about pyor and I have been careful and very slow to learn the arts because of this.

Even to try to learn rockety in this area is very hard. As I found myself put on hold by the Oregon rocket club members awhile back.

Pretty sure this is legal in Oregon, Eastern oregon and maybe some of the dune areas or lakebeds would work as well.

Great source of info about large and small scale rocketry.

Watch some of the videos.... the book is fairly inexpensive and perhaps can be bought used on ebay.

Richard nakka is another great source of information.

He has taken rockets well beyond what most of us would consider as a hobby.
