TheEskimo
Go to pyrodirect.com, they have 15, and 30 pound ball mills. I have the 15 pounder...175 is a bit of $$, but it works great, and has very sturdy, all metal construction.
Mumbles
I didn't think their came with the jar. The original manufacturer still sells them on ebay for around the same price. I just got one as well, and it sems good. I'm milling some KNO3 right now. Others seem satisfied with them as well.

Mumbles
Sorry about that, I deleted my post when I realized that the source I was looking at was actually in the US. They were 180 AUD, but shipping was about $100 AUD. Most of the others I found were around 300-400 AUD, so I guess they'd end up being equal after shipping. TrueBluePyro
Yeah, I was thinking that proce was a little cheap, anyway. I think the best way is to just make a ball mill, I bought one cause I wanted to start right away, I wouldnt of minded making one, but my dad thought it would just be easyer just buying it cause finding a cheap motor is kinda hard. Im planing on biulding a ball mill now, maybe something like the passfire one.
Swede
I call those yellow mills from Pyrodirect and other places the Hobfir mill because I think the guy that makes them is hobfir from eBay. I have one too, and I must admit, they are pretty good. Not cheap, but they do the job infinitely better than a rock tumbler.
KruseMissile
For a cheap one go to harborfreight.com You can get a 6lb ball mill for $50 w/o shipping tho. MadMat
Do you have to change any pulley/gear ratios on the Harbor Freight mills? Just wondering what RPM it runs at stock from the store. Edited May 4, 2017 by MadMat

I have one too, and I must admit, they are pretty good. Not cheap, but they do the job infinitely better than a rock tumbler. Interestingly, it seems all the tumblers have been marked up to 1,000USD. I guess they don't want to make more of them unless someone is really gullible. http://www.ebay.com/sch/hobfir/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
Mumbles
Do you have to change any pulley/gear ratios on the Harbor Freight mills? Just wondering what RPM it runs at stock from the store. Harbor freight runs about 40 RPM stock, give or take a little bit. There isn't a ton of room inside the motor compartment do do much adjusting upwards. Typically the easiest way to increase RPM is to increase the diameter of the drive shaft by slipping a rubber tube or something over it. The optimal speed is around 90 RPM. dynomike1
Used motors are all over E bay, but you need a big one and a small one for testing anyway.
