kleberrios
I made some tests and discovery that Titanium Flake catch fire more easily than esferical or granular titanium.Imagine an open sheet of paper and a sheet of crumpled paper. The sheet of crushed and compressed paper takes longer to catch fire, and the open paper sheet burns much faster, as a larger area is exposed to the air. Now imagine a grain of Ti in the 30 mesh, passing in a rolling mill, and increasing its area by 200x and then being transformed into mesh 30 again through milling. Now I will have hundreds of flake in mesh 30, but each flake will have a very thin wall much easier to catch fire than first grain. We soon came to the conclusion that 1 gram of Ti flake produces more sparks than 1 gram of granular or esferic titanium, because it has more particles per area, while maintaining the same weight. Was it clear in my explanation? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oprLehcVAM Edited March 3, 2017 by kleberrios
