OldMarine
I'm normally pretty fastidious when it comes to labeling things but I screwed the pooch here. I have several pounds of mill dust that I failed to note if it contained a binder. Is there a way to tell for sure if it contains dextrin or not? lloyd
SLIGHTLY moisten (say 6% water) and LIGHTLY press some, about as hard as you'd do to make cut stars. Let it dry. Powder without the binder will still remain very frangible, while that with dex will get as hard as a stone in a few days. Lloyd
OldMarine
Thanks Lloyd, I was going to use this for rocket fuel but not if it contains dextrin. This was made with Paulownia but I've got plenty of willow based made up with no binder to granulate today. If nothing else I should have some hot burst powder.
