In the bottom right of every post near the edit, quote, etc. buttons there is also one that says report. Clicking this and typing a short message will alert us to the post or thread in question. We'll be along eventually in most cases, but it ensures we don't miss it. It also is a good way to alert us to spam or posts of questionable or dangerous content or suggestions. Nice mill. One piece of advice, ideally it would be turning the opposite direction. It's preferred to have the driven roller driving "up" on the jar. This increases traction as the media is actually piled up over it. Both directions work as you've noticed, but you lose some of the traction advantage and may need to replace the rubber hose quicker due to slippage. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The strategy of 'lifting the load' also ensures that your calculated roller/pulley ratios are actually working, rather than having slippage reduce the ideal rpm. It looks about right, and sounds about right, so far as speed is concerned. Have you seen and gone over the speed formula I posted related to jar diameter and media diameter? MudDuckPyro79 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Share Posted February 15, 2017 Yep the 2 of you are correct I have already corrected the problem, slippage was exactly what was happening so I flipped things around and fixed it, I was having to spray some spray tack on the rollers to get full traction thanks for all the input. MudDuckPyro79 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Share Posted February 15, 2017 Yes Lloyd I have, I started out using a wooden pulley system so the speed could be adjusted with a shave of the pulley and with the 1425 rpm motor that's on it. I'm pretty close to correct speed I have to shave another 1/4" of the big pulley to be spot on but just haven't done it yet thanks Lloyd for all input..
