I too have scads of pool chlorine buckets (screw on lids) and am a passionate lover of all things Rubbermaid! On a more pertinent point: Made a pile of strobe pots and smoke for the backline at my Grandbaby's birthday show. They'll store nicely and I'll wait to build the more perishable items as the day gets closer. She loves Grandpatty's fireworks! Tested my violet formula in daylight.I couldn't find a purple using the chems on hand so I fudged one. When I get a night video to show the colour, I'll post the formula in "compositions". memo Posted September 1, 2016 Share Posted September 1, 2016 I took my 6 " hdpe tube and I hope made it a bit stronger, I used the rats nest type fiber and glassed in the bottom and up the sides about 18 ". then I used the mat type fiber and put 6 layers 2 kilos worth and 3 liters of glass. it has a extra long bung also. hope this will stop my tubes from blowing up. it only happens when I am shooting multi break shells. I'll pump that water through a filter to serve my little outdoor sink. With our humidity I'll have in excess of 10 gallons a week easily. Added to the rain barrel, I should have ample water for both comps and washing up with no chlorine, lime, calcium or fluoride in there. Oh and it's free! I've not made any serpents with it yet, but I used a smaller off-cut section of sleeve and the rammer to try making some hummers... http://pyrobin.com/files/tool%201.jpg Although they do make quite a high pitched whizzing sound, the tubes are too weak and quickly fail before they really get going(splitting along the entire length) so it's more of a whizz-bang. memo Posted September 15, 2016 Share Posted September 15, 2016 (edited) made a 150 meters of black match. made 5- 4inch shells and 1- 3 inch , need to paste them in the morning, also made 3 break with bs that need pasting and the last shell I made was a 5inch. pasting like crazy in the morning.
