The electronics forum seemed a bit quiet of late so heres my homebrew 15 cue wired firing system

The main panel/box is pretty much done, i`m just waiting on the speaker terminals for the slat. The system uses 3 banks of 5 cues, each bank is selectable via its own toggle switch. The switches are 3 position for flexibility, up = momentary, center = off, down = latched. The momentary positions can double as deadman`s switches or they can be used to fire cues when a cue button(s) is held down. The panel has continuous continuity checking, to add a little bling, the leds light up green when the keyswitch is off (disarmed) and red when its on (armed). The key cant be removed when its armed for safety.. I was going to make a label up for the panel but i`ve since decided it looks ok without one.

Hi Col,

Nice and compact firing box. What voltage do you run?

My wired system can fire 3 banks of 5 cues, each cue by itself or all 5. Uses safety covers over the cue switches and tricolor LED's indicating continuity, ready and fire mode. Internal 24 volt battery system. Fahnestock clips for e-match are housed in smaller weathertight boxes near the racks.

Cheers Bob,

I lke the rack handles on yours, the remote firing jack is a nice addition too.

The power on mine is external, it hasnt been used in anger yet but it`ll run from 12v-24v. Theres not a whole lot of space in the 6" x 3" box for a battery but I could probably shoehorn a flat 12v pack in.. it wouldnt be easy though. The panel is pretty basic but functional. It can fire multiple cues on one, two or all three banks. I didnt bother with an all-fire button, if i need it i`ll hold down the 5 cue buttons with one hand and flip the bank switches up with the other ;)

The speaker connectors turned up today, so i can get on with the slat.
