Is anyone product better or stronger than tannerite as far as the pound for pound bigger bang I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos and one called kickass seems to stand out but for whatever reason it's seems as if it's been pulled from the sales market.

Idiots,Tannerite, and Youtube. Nothing like documenting your own stupidity and sharing it with the world.

I fear we might see a lot of things pulled from the market.

From doing some reading, it seems that most of the targets on the market are very similar composition wise. Most of them are 95/5 ammonium nitrate to aluminum. Some will have other additives for sparks, or other additives for other purposes. There are some hints to the "secret" behind the kick ass exploding targets though. It seems that tannerite and some of the other popular ones use prilled ammonium nitrate, while the kick ass brand uses ground ammonium nitrate around the consistency of salt. A more intimate mixture could account for the apparent difference in sound. It also looks to produce more smoke, so there may be a secondary oxidizer in there as well. In this case more smoke actually means less power most of the time.

Kick ass has been pulled from the market because it was supplied by a rather dodgy company, who looks to be out of business now. It's someone we know well in the amateur pyro community, as they also supplied pyro supplies and other things. There isn't anything real special about the targets though that couldn't be done on your own.

Yeah, it was them. Two names, same company.

the way I understood it was that you need a manufacturing licence to be in the business of shooting targets, maybe thats why they got shut down. I dont know the details of why they got shut down before, but if it involved felony charges they couldn't be in "the business" anymore.

I read somewhere that one of the employees from rolling thunder actually called the cops or feds (can't remember), I think he said that the owner of the company had them mix what it seemed to be flash powder to use as a exploding target, also, I think they were not to estrict about the quantity of chemicals one could buy from them, I don't know but whatever the reason was they're now out of business

This was fairly recent when they shut down, right? I wonder what happened to all their inventory?

Considering that anyone buying or selling (per)chlorates in Europe has to be careful or get labeled "terrorist" nowadays, and anyone having some after 2016, will get the same lable... You sure about that?

As long as it doesn't get into the hands of ISIS

Yes, i agree. ISIS have about 30 or so T-55 tanks, equipped with a 100mm canon, and 7.62mm machine gun. Another 5-10 or so T-72 tanks with 125mm canon, anti-air & machine gun.

These have been captured from opposing forces, and their ability to operate / maintain them is a unknown.

Nobody knows how many, but at least a few crates of the M79 rocket launcher is in their hands. Great for anti-tank, or general mayhem. The semi automatic RBG-6 is also in their hands.

Both seam to have been smuggled directly to them from Croatia.

A couple of K AK-47 is a likely bet. RPG-7's are frequent. Both of these are so easy to get your hands on in the region, that there is no point in trying to figure out where they got it.

M198 Howitzer, Type 59-1 field guns, ZU-23-2 anti-air auto cannons, FIM-92 Stinger, (surface 2 air) HJ-8s, (Anti-Tank) and DShK 1938 (machine gun) have all been captured, looted, or outright stolen, and are now included in the ISIS arsenal. I'm quite sure there is more that i've missed.

Yes, i agree. We must make sure that ISIS doesn't get access to more deadly weapons. I mean... Who knows what they could make of pyro supplies.

No, quite honestly. If you could get limitless amounts of pyro supplies to ISIS, then go ahead. Having them blow them self up trying to make a rocket engine so they can deliver some flash powder "warheads" would make me laugh my ass off. And, even if your sitting in one of the Humvee's they haven't stolen already... Getting shot at with salute rockets beats getting a M79 up the exhaust.

Suicide bombers, using BP or flash and ball-bearings, or what ever for shrapnel, now that could be a problem. But ISIS have access to plastic explosives, and detonators, no point in fuzzing about. Let them have the fireworks stuff, if they want it.

Just saying ;- )

HAMAS makes KNO3/sugar rockets...

These rockets may be way less powerfull/precise than purchased/stolen rockets, but theyre dirt cheap.

If ISIS were to shoot salutes at you you would laugh, but not if it were thousands of salutes. You can hide from those in a tank, but the ground troops and innocent civilians can't.

About the suicide bombers, me and a mate once talked about that kinda thing (just for fun, pls no send me to Cuba). Basically we figured that commiting a terrorist attack is super easy, if you do it alone. If you strap some shrapnel to some illegal fireworks, you can blow up a bus, but the people that are willing to give their lives/risk jailtime are the ones that don't have the knowledge to make such a bomb. And the ones that do know how to make one (pretty much anyone on this forum + more people), don't have the urge to kill people...

They are indeed dirt cheap. Then again, HAMAS are allegedly shooting a couple of 100 of these every week, and none, actually hit anything. I'm not sure what your point is. HAMAS doesn't sit in a basement and make BP to go suicide bombing with, they use C-4. Most of which is smuggled across the borders from neighboring Arabic states. They probably deserve more support, but less in for of weapons & explosives. But more support for the region isn't exactly seen as a politically correct opinion. Luckily Sweden at least did something to make a difference... Not that it will actually mean a whole lot, but at least someone is trying.
