Right now i have a little vacation from my job and I want to make large batch, with preparation for new years eve in mind. gregh Posted September 19, 2014 Share Posted September 19, 2014 If you seal them in an airtight container with a desiccant after they are completely dry, they should keep for at least a year or two, probably more. a_bab Posted September 20, 2014 Share Posted September 20, 2014 The glitters may tend to be a bit hygroscopical if made with sodium bicarbonate.The silicagel does wonders in a closed environment.I kept mine without any dessicant, in a well closed plastic box. gregh Posted September 20, 2014 Share Posted September 20, 2014 Silica Gel is the most common desiccant. It is what you find in the little packets in most everything you buy. You should be able to easily find some with a web search. Calcium Chloride could also be used. It is the ingredient in products like DampRid.
